Betsy's cell:  (972) 979-3580

Betsy has had an interest in real estate since she was a little kid drawing floor plans for fun and "helping" the custom builder lay tile in the new homes on the street behind her house.  Her mother was an agent in the 70's, and the youngster got put to work updating listing books (before computers!) and had exposure to many other facets of the business.  Even though she was interested in architecture, construction, loved America's countryside, and had salespeople for parents, real estate was not a friendly business back then, and Betsy instead studied marketing and management in college.  After graduating from the University of Denver with honors before her twenty-first birthday, Betsy went into retail sales and management.

After two decades in that industry, she decided to take what she'd learned managing stores and selling and apply it to something she really loved---helping people with some of the most important decisions they'd ever make.  Between checking up on vacant land for sale and helping her mom relocate to Dallas, Betsy had figured out that most agents either didn't answer their phones or hounded their prospects.  When her retail job ended, it was time to see if she could do better than that!  By then, many buyers' advocacy advances had been made, including  Buyers' Representation, Sellers' Disclosures, option periods, and inspections.  The new Realtor jumped right in with a $725,000 listing on her first day as a licensed agent in April of 2001 (and a full-price offer on the second day!)  She sold $5 million of property that first year, including land sales to developers, new homes, existing homes, and condos.  The post 9/11 decade was more challenging, but Betsy remained a solid performer through the downturn and believes that the "interesting" real estate climate just made her a better Realtor.  Betsy has experience in residential, commercial, land development, farm & ranch land, investment property, and residential leases. She garnered Top Rookie awards and Production awards at Keller Williams' 200+ agent Plano office where she began her career, and has continued her success with Team 1 DFW Properties. In 2012, she made an additional commitment to her area of expertise and earned her Broker's license, and went on to earn her Accredited Buyers' Representative designation in 2013.

Betsy's husband, Brent, joined her in real estate for a year or two, and even though he still has his license, he has since found his true calling doing pre-purchase home inspections, roofing, general contracting  and restoration, with extensive past experience in catastrophe insurance adjusting. Between having Brent's work knowledge to draw upon, and the couple's love for hands-on home repair and remodeling, Betsy has an extensive working knowledge of home improvement and construction, which really helps in both home sales and purchases. Betsy also has an inherent love for people, and a strong sense of ethics and morals.

Give her a call and get the one-on-one attention and knowledge that you deserve!

"You're more than just a ' numbers game' to me!"
